Quarlesnet.com was the working domain name of R. Josh Quarles Photography & Web Development from 1996 until roughly 2016. Although the domain wasn’t registered until 1997 and Josh is still doing odd jobs for old clients. But as for this domain name, its functional life is over. There is a substantial list of clients and partners that we would like to thank and Josh wants to tell some war stories and highlight some of the amazing projects that we did over the years. From the very beginning, we wanted to bring the best design that we could to all of our clients. We worked with a lot of small businesses and redesigning every year just wasn’t an option. We strove for simple and timeless designs that could utilize new technology as it became available.
In the years this website was active technology was changing the photography industry every single day. Because of that, a lot of projects have been scattered around. If you are looking for something we did in the past, contact us and we will be happy to help you.
We worked with small and medium-sized businesses in the early days of the Internet and Social Media building identities in this new landscape. Starting with product catalogs and logo designs we progressed to meet all the needs of our diverse clientele.
Much of the work that happened here was in the form of Search Engine Marketing, SEM, SEO, and the like. We wanted to help small businesses compete on a level playfield. The game has changed a lot over the years but we were proud to solve all our clients' problems.
In the early days of the web, we didn’t have a lot of off-the-shelf solutions to complex problems. The first social media site we developed was back in 1999. At that time, all the problems required new solutions. Over the years web development became more a question of finding the right solution. We always tried to listen to our clients and connect the right dots.
We were pleased and honored to be at the forefront of both streaming media and later podcasting here at Quarlesnet.com. Beginning in the late 1990’s we developed innovative solutions to complex media problems even launching one of the first podcasts on the fledgling iTunes store.
