Dunn Sohn creates custom designed hardwood furniture as well as wooden sinks, turnings, and sculptures which are both artistic and functional. Meticulously finished and highly figured birdseye or curly maple are often used. Rocking chairs with an ergonomic form are a specialty in the furniture category. The wooden sinks are a unique addition to any bathroom. They are turned from a solid block of hardwood and finished with a completely waterproof epoxy. Turned salad bowls and hand carved forms are other aspects of the work which explore the organic nature of wood. Burls, stumps and highly figured wood are the raw materials used to create these interesting pieces.
